This policy covers cruisecritic4u.com (the "Site"). Replace that domain placeholder with your real one, and have a lawyer glance at this before launch if you expect meaningful EU/UK traffic — the consent requirements there are stricter than what's written here.

What we collect

• Vote submissions: when you vote for your favorite cruise ship, we store the first name and last initial you provide, the cruise line and ship you voted for, the 1-5 star rating you give it, your yes/no answers to "would you cruise on this ship again?" and "would you recommend it?", and a timestamp. We do not collect an email address, password, or payment information for voting — there's no account and nothing to sign up for.
• Basic site analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and general visitor counts without using cookies or tracking individuals across sites.
• Advertising and translation cookies: this Site runs Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-1066319021659525) and a Google Translate language switcher, both of which load automatically. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads, which may include personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

How we use it

Vote submissions are used only to power the public leaderboard on the homepage and to help us spot obviously abusive or automated voting. We do not sell your first name, last initial, or vote data. We do not share it with cruise lines, advertisers, or other third parties, except as required by law or to the infrastructure providers (e.g. Cloudflare) that host this data on our behalf.

Advertising

This Site displays ads served by Google AdSense, and offers a Google Translate language switcher. Both load automatically on every page.

Your choices

• Since voting doesn't require an email address or account, there's no login or profile to manage.
• To have a specific vote (first name, last initial, and ship) removed, contact us at the address on the Contact page with enough detail for us to identify it.

Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
